Our Commitment to Plastic-Free Oceans
At VALLON, our mission has always been defined by a deep-rooted appreciation for the outdoors. Whether it’s high-altitude skiing or exploring sunny coastal trails, we believe that the best gear shouldn't just help you see the world more clearly, it should help restore and protect it.
We’ve always championed creating eyewear built to last a lifetime rather than a season. Today, we are taking a step forward in our sustainability journey by partnering with CleanHub. Through this collaboration, we are taking meaningful action to protect the environments we love most.

Measuring Real Change
When searching for a partner in this space, we were seeking transparency and proven performance. CleanHub stood out because they don’t just claim impact, they also track it.
Every kilogram of plastic we support the recovery of is monitored through a digital track-and-trace system. The waste is followed from the initial point of collection through the sorting facilities, and finally responsible processing. Their entire methodology is independently verified by TÜV SÜD - a global leader in technical testing and certification. This gives us, and our customers, confidence that every purchase is contributing to real, verifiable change on the ground.
Going beyond the data, this partnership focuses on the human element of sustainability. By establishing jobs and fair pay in regions most affected by the global plastic crisis, CleanHub ensures that their environmental work goes hand-in-hand with social empowerment for the communities most affected.

Our Focus: The Clean Kerala Project
We have chosen to focus our efforts on CleanHub’s Clean Kerala initiative which takes place in southwestern India. This stunning coastal region previously suffered a lack of waste management infrastructure, which meant that historically, plastic often ended up in the ocean or was openly burned. We are investing in a systemic solution to change that.
Clean Kerala brings essential waste management services directly to local villages through door-to-door collection. An initiative which is also powered by women-led waste management groups. These women are the backbone of the project, and our partnership helps provide them with upskilling workshops, and stable livelihoods. In this way, this partnership is about more than just cleaning up, it’s about building a resilient community that can safeguard the environment around them.

Our Roadmap
We pledge to commit to recover 1 kilogram of plastic from the environment for every product sold, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Post-purchase, you will receive an email with an update on our progress, and our impact to date. With your support, local communities are now able to earn a living, and positively transform the landscapes around them. Learn more about our Sustainability practices here.
